## What users report

Ratings on platforms are not representative and sometimes manipulated; they never count as evidence for facts. People mostly write when something goes wrong: hardly anyone posts “KYC was easy and worked right away”, but ten users with verification problems do, often because a step was missed. So we never weigh criticism on its own, only against other offers in the same category. Only the average ratings on App Store, Google Play and Trustpilot count towards our score, damped and compared within the category. Single reports and community posts do not, so the score cannot be swayed by bought reviews.

- App Store: 4.1 / 5 (1500 ratings, 2026-10-31)
- Google Play: 4.13 / 5 (8700 ratings, 2026-11-01)
- Trustpilot: 3.2 / 5 (190 ratings, 2026-11-01)

**Praised:** Fees (8), Speed (5), Apps (4), Connection stability (4), Account access (3)

**Criticised:** Apps (12), Connection stability (10), Billing (6), Unblocking & censorship (6), Fees (3)

### Experience reports

Quotes from original reviews, chosen by rule: short reviews in full, longer ones shortened (… marks cuts). Positive and negative in the ratio of the platform stars, without names; the full review is behind the link.

- Trustpilot · 1 of 5 stars · 22 Oct 2026: „…but restricting "Anti-Censorship" methods to placebo ones too is abysmal. Only 2/5 work: LWO(placebo for home connection) and QUIC(for LTE). … Where VLESS connects with native speeds Mullvad only may spin the UI telling you "blocking internet". And this all for 4.5 euro/month.…“ [Read on Trustpilot](https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6ada1f7f208d2380424f90e8)
- Trustpilot · 5 of 5 stars · 16 Oct 2026: „…I have really tried all the VPNs on the market. … Simple prices (5€)/month. Perfect honesty. Only flaw: not suitable for TV but they are studying the issue they assured me.…“ [Read on Trustpilot](https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6ad1c34d123e0e0e74ff52fa)
- Google Play · 5 of 5 stars · 28 Aug 2026: „Easily the best VPN I've used for security and its strict no-log policy. Connection quality is flawless. Battery drain is noticeably lower than most VPNs—not zero impact, but genuinely better. No real downsides except the UI, which feels a bit outdated and too simple.…“ [Read on Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.mullvad.mullvadvpn&gl=gb&hl=en&reviewId=700a3c5d-b4e5-43a5-b092-9aa54f4e405c)
- App Store · 5 of 5 stars · 31 Jul 2026: „Un vrais changement positif !
- App Store · 5 of 5 stars · 14 May 2026: „Perfekt Funktioniert perfekt. In 3 Monaten noch kein einziger Verbindungsabbruch oder gelegentlicher Logout wie bei NordVPN. Mullvad funktioniert einfach.…“ [Read on App Store](https://apps.apple.com/de/app/id1488466513?see-all=reviews)
