## What users report

Ratings on platforms are not representative and sometimes manipulated; they never count as evidence for facts. People mostly write when something goes wrong: hardly anyone posts “KYC was easy and worked right away”, but ten users with verification problems do, often because a step was missed. So we never weigh criticism on its own, only against other offers in the same category. Only the average ratings on App Store, Google Play and Trustpilot count towards our score, damped and compared within the category. Single reports and community posts do not, so the score cannot be swayed by bought reviews.

- App Store: 3.8 / 5 (40 ratings, 2026-10-31)
- Google Play: 5 / 5 (428 ratings, 2026-10-31)
- Trustpilot: 2.7 / 5 (6 ratings, 2026-10-31)

- Google Play · 4 of 5 stars · 7 Oct 2026: „this afternoon I had a horrible experience Nym got me hanging on Killswitch without connection because the app would refuse to connect the servers simply disappeared from its list bugging out completely making it impossible to use…“ [Read on Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.nymtech.nymvpn&gl=us&hl=en&reviewId=503fa75f-0df4-4956-93e8-76a1d98218f5)
- Google Play · 5 of 5 stars · 11 Aug 2026: „If you need the most private VPN possible, this is the one to get. Just make sure to pay with crypto for the most privacy. This is more private than Tor and it's faster than Tor, although it's still very slow, but that's the cost of privacy.“ [Read on Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.nymtech.nymvpn&gl=us&hl=en&reviewId=4fccfb8f-e643-4bbd-b8a2-df133c6abed0)
- Google Play · 1 of 5 stars · 22 Jul 2026: „…I tried to connect to their server and after 20 minutes of just sitting there, they never connected. After sitting there for about an hour, it finally connected. But I cannot go to any web pages. - Google Play · 5 of 5 stars · 10 Jul 2026: „It's stable and reliable. I only wish the app could evade white lists (the Russian government turns off all traffic except for selected sites on mobile networks). But otherwise it's a solid solution.“ [Read on Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.nymtech.nymvpn&gl=us&hl=en&reviewId=0221486b-e850-405e-93e0-7aebeff3da77)
