EU copyright overhaul could force VPN providers into anti-piracy blocking
The European Commission is weighing EU-wide anti-piracy blocking orders that could oblige VPN providers to block sites. A tech industry group warns this would turn privacy tools into traffic filters. Nothing is final before the Copyright Package expected in 2027.

Apple removes VPN app Incy from Russian App Store at Roskomnadzor's request
Apple has removed the Incy VPN client from its Russian App Store on the request of the regulator Roskomnadzor. The app's developers say it was an alternative to the blocked Happ service.

UK regulator Ofcom: VPN use by children could be monitored under planned under-16 social media ban
Ofcom published an assessment of age checks that could underpin the UK's planned under-16 social media ban. The regulator says some circumvention, including through VPNs, is likely and will monitor it.
