Price. Month to month it costs 9.95 USD; the annual plan is billed 59.40 USD, which Le VPN advertises as from 4.95 USD per month. There is no free trial. A 30-day money-back guarantee covers first purchases only — it does not apply to crypto payments, renewals, app-store purchases or cash-based payment methods.
Features. One subscription covers 10 simultaneous connections. Le VPN has its own apps for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android, plus TV devices and router setup. Protocols include WireGuard, OpenVPN, IKEv2 and a proprietary Stealth protocol with obfuscation, meant for censored networks. The apps also include a kill switch and a threat-protection filter against malware, phishing and trackers. P2P is allowed only on servers designated for it. The apps are not open source.
Logging. Despite its marketing, Le VPN keeps connection logs. Its privacy policy states: "We will store (i) a time stamp and IP address when you connect and disconnect to our Le VPN service, and (ii) the amount data transmitted (up- and download) during your session together with the IP address of the individual VPN server used by you." It does not publish how long this data is kept; it only says it is "stored on our system for a certain period of time". Account data is kept for years after an account becomes inactive. There is no independent no-logs audit and no RAM-only server infrastructure.
Availability. Le VPN does not serve customers residing in Hong Kong and does not accept payments from Hong Kong.
