VPN Lightning is a VPN service sold in three plans (Lightning Basic, Plus and Pro). Besides card payments, the pricing page lists Bitcoin and Ethereum as payment options. The lowest monthly-equivalent price is unknown on annual billing; the annual price shown at checkout is a discounted first-year price next to a higher regular price. The Pro plan includes a dedicated IP address, and the number of simultaneous devices rises with the plan.
Privacy and logging. The privacy policy states: "We do not log, store or share your browsing activity, DNS queries, traffic destinations, or the IP address you connect to our VPN servers from." It also says that VPN connection times are never written. The provider does keep an account email, device records, purchase records and short-lived API security logs (request time, source IP address). Crash reporting is on by default, and the Google Play version also runs app analytics on by default. The provider publishes no independent no-logs audit, and its servers run with cloud hosting and data-centre providers rather than on its own hardware. RAM-only servers are not stated.
Features. WireGuard, OpenVPN and IKEv2; kill switch, split tunnelling, multi-hop and anti-tracker DNS filtering. Apps are listed for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, Chrome, Android TV and routers. However, at the last check only the Windows and Android download links led to real installers. The apps are not open source. Support is by email and in-app live chat.
Refunds. There is no money-back guarantee of its own. Google Play purchases are refunded under Google Play's policy, and UK/EU/EEA customers keep their statutory right of withdrawal until supply has begun.
